For some, Athena is a treasure; for others, an owl or lantern. Maybe it is something more specific, like the moon bench, or a beautiful Book of Hours, used in the Special Collections Department.

What is it about Bryn Mawr that you treasure? Talk about that favorite reading spot, a wonderful professor who was always available to you, or a favorite object that you returned to over and over again.

One Response to “What do you treasure at Bryn Mawr?”

  1. Lynn Rozental Says:

One of my favorite things to do while a student was to sit in a big egg shaped chair in the Quita Woodward Room, and browse through books that were NOT related to any of my courses. This is where I first discovered Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s books, for example.
There was a leather bound book about Quita herself that I liked to look at–as I recall she graduated from Bryn Mawr, became a debutante, and died tragically young.
It was a great escape–hope it’s still available for students today.
